Why We're Here
SCOPE is a national nonprofit funder of overnight summer camp and college scholarships, creating pathways to potential through Camp, Classroom, College, and Career for children and teens from under-resourced communities who commit to staying in school.
100% of BAKyard Jams proceeds go directly to SCOPE.
Why "BAKyard"
Founded by Shana Koransky, BAKyard Jams was created in memory of her parents, Bob And Karen. Raised with a deep commitment to helping others, Shana turned her pain into purpose, bringing together three of the things that have always grounded her: music, camp, and philanthropy.
Music was always central to Shana's relationship with her parents, which led her to a sleepaway camp built around it. As a lifelong camper, giving other kids the chance to experience camp is something she knew would make her parents proud.
